
I am an award winning Creative Director and Copywriter with over 20 years of experience in advertising, and a couple of distinct specialties. I bring big ideas to mainstream categories that don’t typically embrace this sort of thing, i.e. beauty, fashion, retail and luxury. I also have experience doing holistic branding for sustainable, socially responsible enterprises and projects with my new full service holistic branding company, Truth Beauty Now.
I got my start at Chiat/Day, where I developed an eye for aesthetics, a respect for strategy, and a taste for awards. I then ventured out on my own producing a One Show Gold print campaign for Weiss, Whitten, Carroll, Stagliano, after which I took a brief staff job there. I left to found Spinach, Inc., an advertising and design company that provided creative for top ad agencies and clients. During that time, I won an Emmy for a PSA, among other awards.
Before launching Truth Beauty Now, which is devoted to serving sustainable, socially motivated enterprises only, I was Senior Vice President, Creative Director at Saatchi & Saatchi where I ran Head & Shoulders. My team launched a 360 campaign that made Head & Shoulders the #1 selling shampoo among men in America. The creative effort shifted consumer perception of the brand from being just a dandruff shampoo to being the scalp and hair care leader, and it increased sales substantially.
While my work exemplifies how I find beauty in the every day, my passion to preserve beauty has shifted to sustaining the beauty of our world and society.
